Aaaaaaaaakrosh .. the anger ? Why did i Download it ? WHY Y Y

I think it was because of Ajay and his crooked stance.Ofcourse it was a bad print what do you expect 2 days after the release , duh ?

It has some touching scenes, like this one.. Ajay throws a couple of coins and.. you have to see it.
But the main action scene is when Ajay D goes looking for a rowdy who has never been arrested. He goes to the local bazaar, and .."Chotu ek plate biryani, tandoori, kaabab, ..he goes on and orders like 10 chicken items, some I never knew even existed. The kid comes back in like seconds with the order, and Ajay takes just the kababs and says " baaki, " T " ( the rowdy ) go de aur kaho Pratap ne bejaa". The kid goes through the crowd, AD follows him and can you believe it he did not even eat them..Grr.. He finds the rowdy, takes out his gun, "Chup Chap mere saath thane chal", A gun is pointed at AD's head, Another gun comes out of no where, enter Mr Akshay and he says " Gun please" someone fires and the rowdy escapes thru the roof or was it the window.

So thus starts the most amazing chase through gullies, using  windows, roof tops, houses, toilets, dhobi ghats, cycles trucks , vegetable shops, uff.  too good and atlast they catch him , well corner him. And the most super duper thing happens, hold your breath , BOOOM he is killed by a slow moving Sumo :) .

I was hoping it would make it to The Greatest Chase Sequences of course Tom and Jerry is also not on that site :)

At last a new series : The Death Gate Cycle written by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.

Ages ago, sorcerers of unmatched power sundered a world into four realms--sky, stone, fire, and water--then vanished. Over time, magicians learned to work spells only in their own realms and forgot the others. Now only the few who have survived the Labyrinth and crossed the Death Gate know of the presence of all four realms--and even they have yet to unravel the mysteries of their severed world....

In Arianus, Realm of Sky. humans. elves, and dwarves battle for control of precious water-traversing a world of airborne islands on currents of elven magic and the backs of mammoth dragons. But soon great magical forces will begin to rend the fabric of this delicate land. An assassin will be hired to kill a royal prince--by the king himself. A dwarf will challenge the beliefs of his people--and lead them in rebellion. And a sinister wizard will enact his plan to rule Arianus--a plan that may be felt far beyond the Realm of Sky and into the Death Gate itself.
After 10 months I got to read something interesting :)  I am off to Blossoms to get the next book in the series " Elven Star".

"When Tendulkar goes out to bat, it is beyond chaos - it's a frantic appeal by a nation to one man"-- Mathew Hayden

Today was a day in which I learnt how to say 1 to 10 in Japanese, a stranger called me charming ( eew), I walked past a supposedly bomb blast, screamed my lungs out for RCB, saw God waving at me and to top it all I got wet in the rain :) , aaah April Showers.

At 4am, I got a call from GP ( no relation what-so-ever with Kevin Pietersen) asking me if I was interested in attending the RCB vs MI match ;) , I jumped at it but before that I had a lot of stuff to do including attend a training session, get the bike from service centre ,buy a memory card, eat some chicken wings, uff.

Yep I learnt how to say ek do teen, char paanch che saath in Japanese  its Ichy knee, san shee, GO rook, shichi haaaaachi kyuu juuuuu .

At 2.30pm, I ran to the stadium ( I can’t say I skipped and went tralalalala can I ? ). When I was a km away , I heard a blast very similar to a “lakshmi bomb” .l thought it was crackers and even stamped over the evidence I guess. Going ino the stadium was an adventure in itself, the colorfully painted RCB faces, the flags the zoozoooos, people asking if I had extra tickets uff.

The match was delayed for an hour and “you know why” and it was quite an experience sitting on those stone slabs. The atmosphere was amazing and the only thing I missed was the commentators saying the words, Karrbun kaaamaal catch and it’s a City moment of Successsss. I did get the local commentary” lo eee nan maaklu singles thogondu thogondu saitha idaare” and I could easily predict where Rahul would be hitting the next ball. At certain points of the match, I thought I was in a Chennai local train, vendors blocking my view while selling pepsi, samosa, something called cold coffee, ice creams and ofcourse lays lays lays.

The chants just kept on coming !!

RCB RCB , Rahul Rahul Sachin Sachin ..boss we can’t chant Uthaaaapaaaa Uthappppaa nor can we say Kaaaaaaaalis Kaaaalis..

A huge thank you to MC Rahul Kapoor and the local DJ’s who had the crowd dancing to the oldie goldie tapanguchiii songs and ofcourse for helping us get the Mexican Wave right  .

A paragraph on Sachin ? Naah.Earlier that day, I overheard a conversation in which a dude was proudly announcing that he thought Sachin was God and he drinks Pepcee because Sachin endorses it !!. Naresh enquired “ But you do realize that it is bad and that they use it as a toilet cleaner ?”. The fan’s answer was that it didn’t matter. Uff if that was duh !!, the fans in the stadium chanted his name continuously until he turned around and acknowledged them. ( hello ! I was compelled to do it, mass hysteria and all ;) …)

I felt I was in Tirupathi, waiting in line for the Lord’s darshan.Yep long queues and high security. Ofcourse the biggest difference is that Lord Venki won’t be waving back at you , will he ? ( wink wink).

The fans cheered for every four and six but the RCB cheer leaders were a class apart , the fans went berserk when they made an entrance and ironically it was the girls in the stadium who were more interested in them :) . Sachin’s son got a huge applause as well. And if you thought we cheered when Sachin got out you are mistaken, it was a cumulative sigh :) .

It was fun to see the superman of cricket (for his flying abilities) Johnty Rhodes cleaning the pitch (he picked up a couple of bottles that the players had left behind).

If you are wondering what they do during the breaks I have a snap which explains it all ;)

I am looking forward to the next match, yep I am hooked :) RCB RCB RCB

Films i won't miss ;)

Down memory Lane..

The year -2005.

Shiny Disco Disco Disco Balls.

At the inauguration of our new Office campus , we had invited DJ Lloyd and Oh! some ministers and the Police Commissioner too but... let's skip that for now and go to the interesting part. Girls...
Yep lots of them in all sizes, color, shapes and ages. Haii.. one looked so much like Steffi Graf.

Well I did get a few shocks...like when this young beautiful lady came up to me, looking lost .I asked her if there was a problem and she smiled and said she wanted a balloon .Well her wish was my command and so I rushed to my cubicle and gave her the one which was hanging on my monitor. She was delighted .. you should have seen her face .. she thanked me and said " It's for my son " .... you should have seen my face.

After lunch and some 4 cups of ice-cream , it was the DJ's turn to entertain us and boy was he good. He started off with my fav " Teri tho Teri tha " from the Bombay Rockers .

The sound system was amazing ... and the Dance floor was filled with all types of people .. kids got the most attention.. there was this one kid ..aged 3.. who just jumped up and down for like 2 hours. I’m sure at the end of the day, he lost a couple of pounds :).

DJ Lloyd cleverly mixed and matched the songs and then I realized that being a DJ was all about taste .... and Huge Monstrous Speakers.. He played all the regular songs apart from 1 song, which he refused to divulge ( Grr ). Oh and nowadays its tradition to play a tappangucchi Tamil song ... he played " Manmatharasa " the crowd loved it,, they didn't know which language it was but they loved it .He never played my other fav " What is love " by Haddaway( *#$#@# ) .

Pics later…

Vc's guide to be a DJ :
1. Color your hair white, pink, green, red .. the more "eye-catching" the better.
2. Wear an earring.
3. Chew Gum and keep nodding your head.
4. Get all your DJ mixes from the local National Market for Rs 50.
5. 10,000 watt speakers: beg borrow or steal this is a must.
6. Cross fading software available for download free on the net.
7. I'm eating a peda , want some.
8. A turntable : well the DJ box has everything , so gone are the days when the TT's were a rage.
9. Watch the music channels for the latest R&B hits and use "London’s urban-underground music scene" , "groovy", "Latino ","wicked", "wild" and "Shakira" in your sentences.

Bangalore has so many talented Dj's but the best has got to be DJ IVAN. Listen to his choice of music on 101.3 FM, Saturday 7 to 10 pm. It’s totally wicked !!

Bizarre travel plans are dancing lessons from God.

I agree with the Italian poet Cesare on what he said on travel--“Traveling is a brutality. It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things – air, sleep, dreams, the sea, the sky – all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.”

Last month was sort of maddening for me since I had to travel to 5 different states and but it sure was an eye opener ;].

First up it was to the 'Gateway to the South India' , Chennai to attend a marriage, we got to see the second longest beach in the world,Marina Beach [Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro is the longest].
Mode of transport--A bumpy Volvo bus and the return journey via the Mysore express. The auto guys took us for a nice ride ;] the amount we spent on the autoricks were double the cost of the train tickets ;].
I loved  Elliot's Beach which is one of the cleanest beaches in the city of Chennai.Ofcourse by the time I was back, i was speaking in fluent Tamil apart from the lines ' Naan oru thadavai sonna nooru thadavai sonna madhiri’ ;]
The roads are horrible.

PS; Pothys is HUGE.

A week later I was in God's own country ,Kerala, did you know that it was selected by the National Geographic Traveller as one of the 50 destinations of a lifetime.
Mode of transport - Toyota Qualis
First stop Guruvayur , the lord Krishna temple. We saw an elephant being transported on a Lorry. The driver had a tough time controlling the vehicle. The roads were awesome but we had to pay a lot of toll charges for using the highways.Sabarimala was divine and it tested our climbing, chanting skills. Ofcourse our patience was tested every minute of the way.

Next up Delhi . I had to attend an exhibition and it was a short trip so I decided to make the most of it.It was a hectic 2 days and our Cab driver tried to outsmart us :) by taking us around the India Gate 7 times. Yep we saw it from 7 different angles and 2 different lights, sunlight and tubelight.
The only thing that I liked was the paratha's and Lassi , yummmmmmy mummmy . The drive to Agra to catch the Taj was like participating in the Amazing Race. In 2 days I had travelled in an aeroplane ( with a squeaky left wing), a Xylo, an Indica, a Sumo, the Metro, a cycle cart and the new vehicle Magic.Unfortunately we did not get to see the front view of the Taj but we did get to see its not so famous side view. It looked B E A utiful.Ofcourse I missed my flight and had to catch another :) which meant that I had to stay for 8 hours at the Indira Gandhi Airport :)

After reaching Bangalore, I was off to the Western Ghats to the small town of  Madikeri via Mysore.

"It starts with light, and ends with light, and in between there is darkness."

Today is the day you will witness the longest solar eclipse of this century . So keep your eyes closed, ahem.. open. And stop hiding under your desk!!

It’s 12.40pm in Bangalore and I can hear rumbling in the background, oops that was my stomach. I have been hungry for more than 3 hours and 19 minutes, with an occasional coffee bite. The office is empty, all the aunties are home  with their Communicator status  indicating that they are “Working from home “ in reality they are  catching up on the “Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna”. Aha !!

Since the moon is new and all, it is now making passes between the sun and the earth, duh!! Not that kind of pass.

I wonder if they sell Moon’s on ebay. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cl_SWi_wTBE&feature=player_embedded

Well I am hungry and it is suddenly very very dark, wait…. thank God for the backup generator. No no nothing to do with the Solar eclipse.
I wonder what people in Glass houses/companies do ? Just peek out and catch the solar eclipse, since the glasses are made up of 5, "Black Polymer" material.

Ofcourse , the Solar eclipse dates back to when Krishna wove his magic to help Arjuna kill Jayadrata and avenge Abhimanyu  by creating the solar eclipse. Read it here.

The slow-motion replay doesn't show how fast the ball was really travelling. `Richie

I love to watch the matches that are played in Australia, especially since I get to hear Richard "Richie" Benaud, who is all of 80 years. He is one of the best commentators of all time along with Henry Blofeld.

Something new always happens in Australia. Did you know that the batsman, can now challenge the umpire's decision ? Yes sir, and it goes to the 3rd umpire. Well well well.

Pakisthan demolished Australia, at the SCG ( 127 all out). It was Asif all the way along with the Sami. If you get a chance to catch the match live, don't miss it.

And ho here's to a happy new year.. yep new calendar's and all :)
